In view of the current political situation of the country, former Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf leaders Jahangir Khan Tareen and Ch Muhammad Sarwar have decided to re-enter politics.
Both the leaders have started considering different options including whether to join a political party or form a party of their own. Initial consultations between the close associates of the two leaders were held in Lahore.
The meeting between the members of Tareen and Sarwar groups deliberated on the future course of action. The senior leadership of Pakistan People’s Party has also had separate meetings with both the leaders. The senior PPP leadership has advised the two political leaders to be active in the politics of the country.
Ch Sarwar may become a suitable candidate of the PPP in central Punjab, the PPP sources said.Whereas, Jahangir Tareen is the best choice in southern Punjab, they added.
