Islamabad: The “International Conference on Climate Resilient Pakistan” will be held in Geneva on January 9, 2023, to marshal international support for Pakistan to build back better after the recent devastating floods as the country is transitioning from the “rescue-and-relief” phase towards the monumental task of “recovery, rehabilitation, and reconstruction”.
According to a statement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA), Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif will co-host the conference along with United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres.
At the conference, Pakistan will present the “Resilient Recovery, Rehabilitation, and Reconstruction Framework” (4RF) and seek international support and long-term partnerships for its implementation.
