No untoward incident reported in the district on New Year night due to affective security measures taken by the District Police Officer Hafizabad Rai Mazahar Iqbal despite shortage of police officers and police personnel in the district. This was stated by the President Awami Mehaz Hafizabad Rana Khalid Mehmood while addressing a meeting of the society. He lauded the performance of police to contain incidents of one wheeling, aerial fringing, and hula gula.
He said that after appointment of present DPO, sense of security among people was promoted in great extant and holding of open courts on daily basis was also a revolutionary and relief- oriented steps of the DPO. The meeting was demanded the Inspector General of Police, Punjab, to accord approval of 2000 new posts of Cops in view of population the district Hafizabad not only to reduce burden of duty on cops but also to maintain peace in the district.
