England has decided to hand Rehan Ahmed his first test cap as they announced the team which will take on Pakistan in the final test match at Karachi.

The Three Lions have made two changes to their side from the Multan test with the 18-year-old Rehan Ahmed replacing Will Jacks and Ben Foakes getting a game as Jimmy Anderson is given a rest.

All eyes will be on the Leicestershire leg-spinner Rehan who will become England’s youngest-ever Test cricketer tomorrow. He will be 23 days younger than Brian Close when he was selected to play against New Zealand at Old Trafford in 1949.

With Karachi’s wicket expected to offer turn for the spinners, the combination of Jack Leach and Rehan Ahmed could prove valuable for England.

Mark Wood also keeps his place in the team after helping his side take crucial wickets in the second innings of the Multan test.

Pakistan, meanwhile, is yet to announce its playing XI but will be forced to make changes as Imam-ul-Haq has been ruled out of the contest joining Naseem Shah on the sidelines.

Azhar Ali, who will be making his last appearance in international cricket, is the most logical choice to replace the left-handed opener.

England has already won the three-match series 2-0 but is looking for a historic first whitewash against Pakistan in the final test.

England Team for Karachi Test:

Zak Crawley, Ben Duckett, Ollie Pope, Joe Root, Harry Brook, Ben Stokes (c), Ben Foakes, Rehan Ahmed, Ollie Robinson, Mark Wood, and Jack Leach.
