Minister for Energy Akhtar Malik here on Saturday chaired a meeting to review the ongoing projects in the area. Speaking on the occasion, the minister said land for construction of Energy Resource Centre had been reserved while solar and bio-gas projects initiated in different villages of the district would be completed soon. The government was paying attention on starting solar, wind and hydro projects to facilitate people, he said. The ministry has directed all departments to spread awareness among farmers through social media about the shifting of tube wells to solar energy. Talking to reporters, the minister said Pakistan is an agriculture country and it can make progress through strengthening agriculture sector.
