In what appears to be a major breakthrough, Majlis Wahdat-e-Muslimeen Pakistan (MWM) announced unconditional support to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) for the forthcoming local government elections in the federal capital to inflict crushing defeat on the self-centered, greedy and crooks rulers who plunged the country into worst crises within short span of few months.

The announcement in a press conference in joint press conference of PTI Islamabad Region President Ali Nawaz Awan and MWM political Secretary Engineer Zaheer Naqvi here on Tuesday. Speaking on the occasion, Ali Awan said that the MWM chief Raja Abbas Nasir stood by PTI during the last 8 months for which they were grateful to MWM.

He said that PTI was striving hard to make Pakistan truly a welfare state like state of Medina, but unfortunately, the formula of ‘divide and rule’ sowed the seed of sectarianism and linguistic division in the country.

Ali Awan stated that the PTI was contesting the LG polls like general elections, which was expected within next two to three months, adding that God willing PTI would easily grab the mayor slot in Islamabad. PTI leader said that the people of Islamabad will also vote to PTI on December 31 to inflict humiliating defeat on the 13 parties’ alliance, as they did in the by-polls elsewhere in the country, as PTI won 85% of the by-elections in the last eight months.
