The National Accountability Bureau has closed an assets beyond means inquiry against Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah, and the Director General of NAB Lahore has sent the file to the bureau’s chief for final approval.
According to NAB sources, it has been decided not to move the Supreme Court against the decision of the Lahore High Court division bench, which accepted Sanaullah’s plea, seeking the closure of assets beyond means inquiry NAB had initiated against him.
The sources maintained that the inquiry against Sanaullah could not continue even with the NAB Amendment Ordinance and that the Lahore High Court had also confirmed his bail.
