According to the details, the police security in Karachi will now have to choose between two, cricket in the city or elections, because the Pakistan New Zealand ODI cricket match is also scheduled in Karachi on January 15.
The polling for local body elections is to be held in Karachi Division on January 15. The police officials have already informed the Sindh government about the non-availability of security personnel.
On the other hand, the New Zealand team is coming to Pakistan to play a cricket series after a long time, and a large number of police officers will be on security duty in the Pakistan New Zealand cricket series.
The Test match against the New Zealand team will start in Karachi from December 27. Three ODI matches between Pakistan and New Zealand are also scheduled to be played in Karachi.
Pakistan New Zealand ODI matches will be held on January 11, 13 and 15 at National Stadium Karachi.
