A high level delegation from Argentine led by Foreign Affairs Secretary Pablo Tettamanti, Ambassador of Argentina in Pakistan Mr Leopoldo Sahores along with others members including Minister Eduardo Acevedo Diaz Asia & Oceania Director and Mr. Camilo Silberkasten, Counsellor, Deputy Head of Mission called on the Pakistan-Argentine Friendship Group in the Senate to strengthen people to people contact by connecting the Parliamentarians of both countries.
Convener of the Friendship Group, Senator Engr. Rukhsana Zuberi and Senator Rana Maqbool Ahmed received the delegation in the Parliament House.
During the meeting, Senator Rukhsana presented the letter of invitation for inviting the Parliamentary Friendship Group in Argentine Senate to visit Pakistan.
She was of the view that the Parliamentary interactions will help increase the trade between the two countries which at present does not reflect the true potential of our economic and commercial relations.
Speaking on the occasion, Senator Rana Maqbool Ahmad said that the potential of enhancing cooperation between both countries should also be multi-dimensional.
While addressing the Foreign Affairs Secretary Argentina Republic, he emphasized on facilitating Pakistan with formal trainings to compete in football at International level.
He said that the urban areas of Pakistan have a lot of potential which unfortunately is not executed in a formal manner resulting in Pakistan lagging behind in this globally popular sport of the world.—INP
