KP Pavilion has been set up at Lok Mela, spotlighting the rich culture, and handicrafts of the province. Adviser to the PM on Sports and Tourism Mr. Aun Chaudhry will formally inaugurate the KP pavilion on Saturday (Today) .“Lok Mela” the cultural folk festival of Pakistan opens with full zeal and zest on 25 th November 2022 at the National Institute of Folk and Traditional Heritage (NIFTH)/Lok Virsa Islamabad. Lok Mela is a true depiction of rural Pakistan. Which reinforces national harmony and integration by promoting the cultural heritage through the active participation of all provincial governments, master artisans, folk artists, performers and musicians.
The main features of the festival are provincial cultural pavilions from all provinces, Gilgit Baltistan and AJK, including artisans at work, craft bazaar, folk songs and dance performances, cultural nights, food stalls, and many other activities.
The Pashtun cultural pavilion, arranged by the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Culture and Tourism Authority (KPCTA), has been opened for visitors this morning, depicting the rich cultural heritage of the province under one roof. A large number of people from different walks of life thronged the KP pavilion.
The pavilion will be formally inaugurated by the Adviser to the PM on Sports and Tourism Mr.Aun Chaudhry. He will visit the stalls and will meet the local artisans.
