At the 4th day of International Defence Exhibition and Seminar (IDEAS-2022), Muhammad Israr Tareen, Federal Minister for Defence Production visited the POF Stall. Mrs. Kishwar Ahsan, Member Production POF Board welcomed the honorable guest. Honorable Guest inaugurated the newly developed POF products.
POF’s indigenous and vast product range has addition of over all 11 product, launched at IDEAS-2022. Products include 12.7 mm Heavy Sniper, 5.56 x 45 mm Ammunition.
Federal Minister was briefed about new POF products. The Heavy Sniper Rifle Ammo is a high precision armor piercing cartridge for long range shooting against protected targets. It is designed for use in all 12.7x99mm sniper rifles and guarantees precision of 19.2cm at 550meters. It can perforate 22 mm armor plate at 100 m.
Whereas, 5.56 x 45mm ammunition has also been produced indigenously as per NATO Standard with high accuracy and functioning quality which is in-line with the requirements of international standards. Ammo has the capability of precise powder load-ability at assembly stage with an accuracy of less than 0.3 grains.
Muhammad Israr Tareen, Federal Minister for Defence Production has lauded the efforts of Pakistan Ordnance Factories to cater the defence needs of Pakistan Ordnance Factories.
