Two-day international conference titled “Economic Issues and Sustainable Development” has started under the auspices of the Department of Economics The Women University Multan.
The chief guests of inaugural ceremony was Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Muhammad Ramzan, Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Mansoor Akbar Kundi and Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Uzma Qureshi while the guest of honor were Director Colleges Dr. Farid Sharif, Dr. Ghafoor Awan, Director Food Sciences (BZU) and Director Health, Multan were also present.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Uzma Qureshi said that after Covid-19 economies of the world are currently under pressure, the rate of development in the society has decreased to a terrible extent due to which the common man has been affected. It is a characteristic of the Women University that it keeps organizing events about current issues. She said that the government will have to take very important decisions for economic stability.
Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Mansoor Akbar Kundi said that economic development is the key to social development. Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Muhammad Ramzan said adaptation is the need of the hour. Therefore, it is important to focus on the quality of education for the sustainable development of higher education to achieve certain goals.
