CTD arrests banned outfit terrorist

The CTD in a joint operation with a federal intelligence agency on Tuesday arrested a very shrewd and mastermind accused of proscribed terrorist outfit from Korangi Mehran Town in Karachi.

The CTD police arrested accused Rustam Ali Sher near the Korangi driving licence branch. They recovered arms from his possession. The CTD said that the accused belonged to banned terrorist organization Sindh Revolution Army. They said that he was very clever and he was the mastermind of the organization. He was in contact with SRA head Zulfiqar Khaskheli in Germany through telegram app.

The CTD officials said that Rustam used to take directions and information about the targets from the SRA head.

He was also involved in supply of arms and ammunition and facilitation.The accused was involved in murders in interior Sindh, attempts to murder, bomb blasts on railway tracks and other incidents, they added. Police said cases were registered against the accused and further investigation was underway.
