In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, All Parties Hurriyat Conference leaders Khawaja Firdous and Syed Bashir Andrabi have strongly condemned the confiscation of properties of Hurriyat leaders and workers by Indian agencies.

According to Kashmir Media Service, Khawaja Firdous and Syed Bashir Andrabi in a joint statement issued in Srinagar said that India was using different tactics to suppress the ongoing Kashmir freedom movement but it would never succeed in its sinister designs.

They said that the Indian troops are carrying out raids to arrest and kill Kashmiri youth in the occupied territory and the authorities are confiscating the properties of Kashmiri leaders through their agencies to put pressure on them to withdraw the freedom movement.

The APHC leaders said that the Kashmiri people were demanding their birthright to self-determination, which Indian leaders had promised in the United Nations. They said that the Kashmiri people had rendered a lot of sacrifices for freedom from India and their sacrifices would not be allowed to go waste.

They said that unless the Kashmir dispute is re-solved according to the will of the Kashmiri people and the resolutions of the United Nations, durable peace cannot be established in South Asia.—KMS
