Vibrant schalor, poets, singers, political and social figures of the lower Sindh have demanded of government to bring unpublished literary work of renowned schalor late Abdul Ghafoor Alasti out, in shape of books and add it in school syllabus.
This they said while addressing the 8th death anniversary of renowned social worker and educationist late Abdul Ghafoor Alsti, here on the other day. Presenting rich tributes to late Alsti, the speakers including chairman of Sindh culture forum Sadiq lakho, Allah Jurio Burfat, Qadir Othoar, Hajan Solangi and others said that Abdul Ghafoor was asset Sindh, his services rendered for the girl’s education are unforgettable, Mr Alsti was not only a educationalist but also a philanthropists and social worker of southern (lower) Sindh. Abdul Ghafoor was figure who dedicated his whole life in research of books and was lover of Shah Abdul Latif Bhitai’s thought. Abdul Ghafoor translated poetic book of Shah Abdul latif Bhitai, called (Shah Jo RISALO) from Sindhi to English and ever endeavoured for girl’s education.
Alasti opened approximately 350 girl’s schools in far flung areas of district Thatta, Sujawal and Badin, particularly in coastal and hilly belt they added. Meanwhile they urged upon the Sindh government to bring the unpublished literary work of late schalor out. Meanwhile candles were lightened and Dua was offered for the late Alasti.
