Increase in agri yield pivotal for food security

Vice Chancellor University of Agriculture Faisalabad Professor Iqrar Ahmad Khan said that increase in per acre agriculture yield is pivotal to ensure food ( UAF) security and to meet demand of growing population in the country that is why, we have to take result-oriented measures to promote use of modern agricultural machinery and technology which would give way out to enhance per acre agriculture yield in the country as well as to achieve goal of self-reliance in production of wheat and other crops.

He was addressing a gathering of farmers on seventh day of ongoing nine day More Wheat Grow Campaign continue under auspices of University of Agriculture Faisalabad with collaboration of

Agriculture Department Hafizabad to provide awareness about latest trends and use of modern technology to enhance per acre yield. Professor Iqrar Ahmad Khan also said that 40 percent population of our country was suffering from malnutrition.
