TDAP participates in 35th ATPF CEO meeting

Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP) participated in the 35th ATPF CEO Meeting, organized by the Asian Trade Promotion Forum (ATPF) and Export Promotion Bureau (EPB) of Bangladesh,in Dhaka. The theme of the event was “Challenges and Way forward of the TPO`s in the New Trade Age”.

The 35th Plenary of the forum provided the leaders of trade promotion organizations of Asia an opportunity to exchange their views and experiences of promoting trade in an increasingly global and interconnected world. Pakistan was represented by Secretary TDAP, Mr. Ahsan Ali Mangi, who highlighted the challenges being faced by the TPOs because of the pandemic, rise in protectionism and a global economic downturn.

However, using TDAP as an example, he emphasized the opportunities available through use of digital marketing and trade promotion tools making business-to-business linkages easier and cost-effective. The 35th APTF CEO meeting will open a new door to move forward in the field of economic corporation as well as trade among the member countries.

This CEO`s Level meeting was attended by 25 representatives of 12 countries which includes Australia, Bangladesh, Cambodia, Chinese Taipei, India, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Pakistan, Philippines, Singapore and Thailand.
