Punjab government on Sunday has sent two mobile health units to the flood-affected areas of Sindh for the aid of victims while taking another good step to promote inter-provincial harmony.
The health department has dispatched medical teams and medicines for the relief mission to the flood victims of Sindh on the directions of the Punjab Chief Minister Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi.
The mobile health units were sent to the calamity hit areas in district Khairpur and Qambar Shahdadkot.
In this regard, Punjab Chief Minister said that the Punjab government stands with the flood victims of Sindh and other provinces.
He said that 296 doctors and nine trucks of medicines were also sent to Sindh and Balochistan under the spirit of goodwill, adding that the Medical Mission of the Punjab Government has even set up medical camps in the affected areas of Sindh and Balochistan. “Punjab is playing the role of big brother very well,” said Parvez Elahi.
Meanwhile, Punjab Chief Minister (CM) Chaudhry Parvez Elahi on Sunday said that he has never done revenge politics like Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and has always established positive political traditions.
The Punjab CM met with the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Humayun Akhtar Khan at the CM House on Sunday. The two leaders discussed matters of mutual interest, political situation and public welfare programs.
On the occasion, Pervaiz Elahi said that PTI Chairman Imran Khan is the most popular leader of Pakistan. He has supported Imran Khan, is supporting him and will continue to do so.
Furthermore, he said the focus of their politics is to improve the condition of the common man. Elahi added that whenever he was given a chance by the Almighty to serve as the Chief Minister, he always worked sincerely to provide relief to the poor. Punjab Chief Minister made it clear that instead of a one-man show, he is working with the whole team.
