Convener of All Parties Hurriyat Conference Azad Jammu and Kashmir (APHC-AJK) chapter Mahmood Ahmed Saghar has condemned the recent statements of the BJP leader, Darakhshan Andrabi, and divisional commissioner Kashmir, PK Paul, regarding the land of historic Edigah in Srinagar.
Darakhshan Andrabi hinted at the grabbing of Eidgah land in the name of building a hospital while PK Paul stated that the Eidgah will be converted into a playground.
Mahmood Ahmad Saghar in a statement issued in Islamabad said Modi’s fascist Indian government is conspiring to deprive the Kashmiris of places of great cultural, historical and religious importance. He said, the Modi regime is erasing the Islamic identity and culture of the territory under various pretexts.—INP
