SMIU, AIPS to sign MoU

The Sindh Madressatul Islam University (SMIU) and The American Institute of Pakistan Studies (AIPS) will sign an agreement to extend cooperation and undertake collaborative efforts in the field of research and academic development.
In this connection a delegation in supervision of Dr. Farhat Haq, President AIPS will visit SMIU on Monday January 6 for signing the mutual agreement.
A ceremony will be held followed by the distinguished lecture by Dr. Farhat Haq at Sir Shahnawaz Bhutto, Auditorium of SMIU.
Under the agreement both institutions will work together to promote research activities. AIPS established in 1973, is a bi-national research and educational organization with a mission to promote academic study of Pakistan in the US and to encourage scholarly exchanges between USA and Pakistani higher education institutions.
The AIPS is a consortium of 42 US universities and academic institutions.—INP
