12 dead, dozens injured in road mishaps due to fog

Low visibility caused due to dense fog and over speeding claimed 12 lives besides leaving dozens others injured in various districts of Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) on Tuesday, the last day of 2019.
According to details, the first accident took place at GT Road near Gammon Bridge Wazirabad where a Sialkot bound van coming from Gujrat and carrying wedding guests got out of control due to low visibility caused by dense fog and it plunged in gorge. Four including a girl died on the spot in the accident while three women 14 others were injured.
A passenger van fell down hill while negotiating a sharp turn in mountainous area of Palai at Swat Expressway in Malakand.—INP
