Australia’s Deakin University awarded fully funded doctoral fellowship in higher education to Dr. Mehr Mohsin Raza, the youngest doctorate from Sargodha University. Dr. Raza received a doctoral degree at the age of 26 years from the Department of Education at the University of Sargodha.
In his PhD dissertation, Dr. Raza analyzed and evaluated the education service quality in the universities of Pakistan and received appreciation from the foreign referee Prof. Dr. Peter Afflerbach College of Education University of Maryland, USA. While acknowledging the significance of the research, the foreign referee Dr. Peter commented that education service quality in the higher education sector of Pakistan is certainly an issue of great significance which is addressed through this study.
The author is to be commended for a dissertation that carefully scrutinized existing research and theory, utilized triangulated qualitative and quantitative design, and presented detailed analysis of research data, he remarked.
Dr Raza joined Sargodha University as Assistant Director Academics in 2018. Within a short span, he served at various posts including, founding Manager Facilitation Center, Deputy Director Planning , Deputy Staff Secretary, Secretary Admission Committee and Member of various significant events organized at the university level.
Dr Raza has rendered his services as the Manager of Facilitation Center for quality assurance in better service delivery to the students, employees and visitors. The center through its one-window operation offers online service management that processes and addresses query physically as well as digitally.
Under his supervision, the establishment of the landmark project Facilitation Center at the University of Sargodha received huge appreciation from the Higher Education Commission of Pakistan, academia and other stakeholders. The Commission directed other universities to replicate this model for establishing Kamyab Jawan Markaz and Graduate Office in their respective universities.
While sharing his experience as the manager of Facilitation Center, Dr. Mehr Mohsin Raza suggested that embracing digitalization would be a quantum leap in not only assuring quality administrative services but also in combating the challenges of climate change in the digital era.
