Islamabad Capital police apprehended 37 criminals including 11 drug peddlers involved in illegal criminal activities and recovered drugs, valuables and weapons with ammunition from their possession, a police public relations officer said.
He said that DIG Operations Sohail Zafar Chatha had ordered all zonal officers to curb the crime in their respective areas and arrest those involved in looting innocent people.
Following these directives, Aabpara police team arrested two accused Muhammad Shahzad and Muhammad Fayyaz and recovered one 30 bore pistol along with ammounation from their possession.
Kohsar arrested a drug peddler namely Hamza and recovered 1115 gram heroin from his possession.
Pulghran police arrested five drug peddler namely Jameel Hussain, Shakar Iqbal, Waqas hussain, Muhammad Akber and Zahid Mehmood and recovered 20 liters alchol, 2430 gram hashish, 1250 gram heroin and one 30 bore pistol from their possession.
Likewise, Tarnol police arrested two accused namely Muhammad Rizwan and Rahim Khan and recovered 1250 gram heroin, 1250 hashish and 102 gram Ice from their possession.
Shahzad Town police arrested a drug peddler namely Shahbaz Ashraf and recovered 1135 gram hashish from his possession. Koral police arrested four accused namely Shahid Noor, Abdul Aziz, Kashif Khan and Fayyaz Hussain and recovered 1425 gram hashish and 03 pistols 30 bore from their possession.
Similarly, Kirpa police arrested accused Atif involved in illegally oil selling .Lohi Bher police arrested two accused namely Abdul Manan and shokat Ullah and recovered one 30 bore pistol and one 223 bore gun along with ammunation from their possession.
Sabzi Mandi police arrested accused Mohsin Ali and recovered a 30 bore pistol from his possession, while police also arrested accused Nazakat and recovered stolen valuables from his possession. Moreover, Noon police team arrested accused namely Ghulam Ghaznfar and recovered 1030 gram hashish from his possession, while police arrested two accused namely Akber Shah and Masta Khan involved in illegally gas filling.
Cases have been registered against the nabbed accused and further investigation is underway. During a special crackdown against proclaimed offenders and court bsconders police teams arrested 14 proclaimed offenders.DIG Operations Sohail Zafar Chatha said that the safety of the lives and property of the citizens is our prime responsibility and no laxity will be tolerated in this regard
