Efforts should be made to eliminate dengue larva: DC

Deputy Commissioner Hafizabad, Toqeer Ilyas Cheema, stressed the need of concerted efforts to eliminate dengue larva and mosquitoes and all departments took result-oriented measures in this regards.

He was addressing a meeting held to review performance and anti-dengue measures taken by the different departments. CEO Health Dr, Rehan Azhar, DO Health Dr. Zaheer Ahmad, DO Population Welfare Sajida Mushtaq, Muncipal and other officers attended the meeting. DC said that due change of weather, dengue mosquitoes and patients were increasing day by day in the district and this situation was not acceptable.

He directed the all officers to expedite anti-dengue activities in their concerned jurisdictions and ensure checking of all hotspots according to their targets.

He warned the officers that fake and concocted reports would not be tolerated at all and strict department action would be taken against those officers and officials who would found involve submission of self-made reports.
