SIU arrests two accused involved in robbing outside ATMs

The Special Investigation Unit (SIU), Crime Investigation Agency (CIA) Karachi Police arrested two accused involved in robbing citizens outside the ATMs and recovered pistols and a motorcycle from their possession.

According to SSP SIU Arif Aziz on Saturday, arrested identified as Khalid Hussain Ranjhani and Abdul Qadir alias Mazari Khan Chandio were involved in robbing citizens outside ATMs and banks.

The accused were arrested from near Abul Hassan Isfahani Road. A hand grenade, a pistol and a motorcycle were recovered from the possession of arrested.

Arrested accused along with their other accomplices committed several robberies in Mubina Town, Gulistan Jauhar, Shahra e Faisal, Aziz Bhatti, Sachal, Sukhan, Landhi, Al-Falah, Khokhrapar, Nazimabad, Malir, Gizri, Boat Basin and others.

Few days before being arrested, they along with their other accomplices robbed two citizens in same day. They deprived of a citizen of Rs. 0.65 million he withdrew from bank, at a road leading towards Malir from Safoora. The same day, the accused robbed Rs. 0.3 million from another citizen in Gulistan Jauhar Block-13. The video of the incident also made rounds over social media. Cases have been registered and further investigations are underway.
