Two emerging business entrepreneur projects were finalised after a detailed presentation conducted at Foundation University Rawalpindi campus. The approved projects of young researchers would participate in Hult prize competition, a project of US one million dollar.The Prize is a partnership between HultInternational Business School and the United Nations Foundation and it has been referred to as the “Nobel Prize for students”.
Twenty projects designed by teams of students presented before a jury and the salient features of each project were highlighted by the presenters.
The jury members were comprised of Manager Business Incubation Centre, Foundation University Rawalpindi campus Syed Taimur Hassan, Mehtab Hameed, TehsheenFawad, Ali Khan Swati and Hamid Javaid Awan.
Giving details, Syed Taimur Hassan elaborated that HULT aimed to provide opportunities to young entrepreneurs and talented students to design market oriented projects which would help them to market their ideas and concepts in the form of compact project which could be transformed on commercial basis.
Syed Taimur Hassan said that under the guidance and support of Rector Foundation University Maj. Gen ® Changaiz Dil Khan and Pro-Rector Brig. ® Dr. Abdul Ghafoor, a conducive environment to research had been provided besides facilitating students at Business Incubation Centre of Foundation University to explore their abilities and skills and design research oriented projects to become self-reliant.
He said that such projects can open new avenues of employment and business which is the prime objective of Prime Minister Imran Khan and thousands of students would get benefits from ‘Kamyab Nojwan’ programme.
