The Taliban government’s local authorities in Faryab province in northern Afghanistan stated that a traffic collision between two laden trucks in the Almar district of the province resulted in the fatalities of three people.
According to Mullah Najibullah Khybar, Faryab province’s traffic manager, the incident took place this morning—Wednesday, the 24th of August— at around 9:00 on the Maimana and Almar highway.
Three people lost their lives in the collision, according to local sources, which included two laden Mazda trucks on the Maimana-Almar highway.
The driver’s recklessness, excessive speeding, and disregard for traffic rules, according to the traffic manager of Faryab, were the reasons for this accident.
