Education Minister Shafqat Mehmood on Wednesday announced that curriculum throughout Pakistan’s educational institutions would be unified by March 2020. Speaking at an event here at Sindh Madressatul Islam University, the federal minister for education and professional training said in a country like Pakistan, it was very difficult not to take interest in politics.
“Considering the state of affairs, taking an interest in political affairs becomes necessary,” he added. Mehmood, who also toured the varsity, noted that Pakistanis were lucky to live in a free environment. “We have decided to bring a unified syllabus in Pakistan,” he said, adding that they were working on preparing a single curriculum.
