Rains have wreaked havoc in various areas of South Waziristan. More than 50 houses, shops and gardens have collapsed due to torrential rains in Spin, Tanai and Sheenwarsk. In addition, several wells were filled with water, including the well of Mohammad Wali Wazir, principal of Vision Model School Spain.

Electricity supply is off, communication system is disrupted. People are facing difficulty in coming and going due to shifting gravel and stones in communication bridges and cause ways. In this regard, the elected village chairman Saifur Rahman Wazir, who belongs to the region of Spin, demanded from the provincial government and the district administration, that teams should be sent on an emergency basis to alleviate the hardships of the people of the area, So that timely financial assistance can be provided to the affected people.

The chairman also said that due to continuous rain for several hours, the Biju car of a person named Sanaullah was also washed away in the water, Chairman Saifur Rehman severely criticized PDMA and NDMA and said that we have not received any assistance from them till now and not found. However, there is information from Ghoorlama area of Birmal tehsil that two children have died due to the fall of the wall.

However, the people of Sheenwarsk, Spin and Tanai say that after spending the whole night under the sky, the PDMA provincial government and other rescue teams have not yet arrived. Locals say a major cause of the damage is the lack of protective embankments and the poor condition of the river channel in the plains of Spin.

It should be noted that the Spin region is located in the north-east near the border of Balochistan, there is an urgent need to build large protective embankments at some places. However, on the instructions of DC South Waziristan Amjad Meraj, Additional Assistant Commissioner Wana Dr. Sadiq Ali has sent teams of political Moharirs including the police to the areas affected by the flooding due to torrential rains.
