The Federal Investigation Agency has written a letter to Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Imran Khan and sought details of the party funds and accounts.
The Federal Investigation Agency in the letter has asked Imran Khan to submit the record of the party’s national and internationally registered organizations since 1996. The investigation agency has also sought details of foreign currency accounts and funds received from foreign donors.
The FIA has asked that the party should submit its audit reports of the party funds within two weeks and also submit the list of the names of the party’s donors and the properties donated to the PTI.
Meanwhile, the nomination papers of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chairman Imran Khan were submitted in all nine constituencies of the National Assembly on Saturday that fell vacant after the NA speaker accepted the resignations of 11, including two seats reserved for women, out of 131 PTI lawmakers.
The former premier had earlier announced that he would contest from all nine constituencies, raising the stakes of otherwise considered dull by-polls and presenting the contest as Imran Khan versus the coalition government.
Surprising as it may seem, a candidate is simultaneously contesting from nine constituencies for the first time in the country’s political history. Imran will simultaneously contest from Mardan, Charsadda, Peshawar, Kurram, Faisalabad, Nankana, Malir, Korangi and Karachi South.
The process of submission of papers of the covering candidates in all nine constituencies has also been completed.
