The Punjab government is completing three mega projects including widening and rehabilitation of Road from Kot Sarwar Motorway Interchange, establishment of University of Hafizabad and construction of new District Headquarter Hospital Hafizabad with the cost of more than Rs. 28 billion for providing better communicational, healthcare and higher educational facilities to the people.
This was informed in the meeting held to review pace of work on ongoing schemes in the district Hafizabad. Deputy Commissioner Toqeer Ilyas Cheema was presided over the meeting. ADCG Umer Farooq Warraich, CEO Education Javed Iqbal Babar, CEO Health Dr. Rehan Azhar, Deputy Director Development Hafiz Mubashar-ul-Hassan and other concerned officers attended the meeting. Addressing the meeting DC said that timely and according to specification completion of development projects is top priority of district administration so that people of the district could get benefits of government expenditure earliest and difficulties of masses of the areas could lesion as well as their living standard could be improved.
He directed the officers of concerned departments to ensure use of standard material while executing development schemes and he would inspect personally ongoing schemes and strict action would be taken against constructors and officers in case of found any deficiency or use of substandard materiel in the projects.
