Railways Minister Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed said on Saturday that Pakistan People’s Party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari is not a kid, he is CEO of the Zardari Group Limited. ‘Transaction of Rs1.5 billion was made with sign of Bilawal Bhutto Zardari’, Sheikh Rasheed said while addressing press conference in Lahore. He said the PPP chairman would also be out of the politics like Maryam Nawaz, if he failed to strike a plea bargain.
The minister regretted that record corruption was made by the political leaders under the banner of democracy in the country. The railways minister said its alarming that corrupt people are getting bails from the NAB courts and added that 126 accounts of Pakistan People’s Party’s leader Syed Khursheed Shah were unearth, but he got the bail. Commenting on the detailed verdict in high treason case against former president general (retd) Pervez Musharraf, Sheikh Rasheed said attempts to create tensions between the state pillars and weakening Prime Minister Imran Khan will fail. ‘The Pakistan Army saved the country thrice.’
Sheikh Rasheed claimed that every politician in the country came from the General Headquarters’ (GHQ) Gate No 4. Sheikh Rasheed said that the opposition to the ruling Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has failed in its tactics for dysfunctioning the government. The minister stated that Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) President Mian Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has been ‘playing on both sides of the wicket’ and the Sharif brothers would celebrate the New Year’s Eve in London.
About the ongoing protests in India against the Citizenship Amendment Bill (CAB), Sheikh Rasheed stated that Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been subjecting Muslims in India to violence and oppression. Sheikh Rasheed Ahmad said that the PTI government will bring the country out of economic crisis within three years. He said that Main Line One project is the backbone of China-Pakistan Economic Corridor. The most prominent Chinese personality will be invited to inaugurate this project.
Earlier, the Railways Minister presided over a high level meeting at Railway Headquarters in Lahore. The meeting was attended by Chairman Railways Board Habibur Rehman Gilani, CEO Railways Aijaz Ahmad Buriro and other high officials of the railways.
