The Punjab government decided on Friday to launch an inquiry into the sale of 3,000 plots and the illegal allotment of land to former first lady Bushra Bibi’s friend Farah Gogi in the Special Economic Zone.
It was learnt that as many as 3,000 plots in the special economic zone were sold instead of being given on lease. Objections were raised earlier too on the sale of the plots in the special economic zones of Punjab instead of their transfer on lease.
On the identification of the Board of Investment, the matter of legal complications was also raised on the sale of the plots. Now, the Punjab government has ordered to inquire into the sale of the plots in the SEZ and the illegal allotment of land in the SEZ to Farah Gogi.
