In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, police officer Basant Rath has submitted his resignation letter to the Chief Secretary wishing resignation or voluntary retirement from his services.
Basant Rath in his letter to the Chief Secretary has wished to participate in the electoral process. “I wish to resign from the Indian Police Service to be able to participate in electoral politics. Please consider this letter as my request for resignation/voluntary retirement and process it accordingly. I’ll be grateful,” reads the letter.—KMS
