Measurers for containing growth of dengue stressed

Deputy Commissioner Hafizabad Allah Ditta Warraich has directed the officers of health and all other government departments to take practical measurers for containing growth of dengue larvae and spread of dengue mosquito to save people from dengue fever.

He issued theses directions while addressing a meeting held to review anti-dengue, corona booster campaigns and performance of health department. CEO health Dr. Rehan Azhar, DHO Dr. Ishfaq Meer, District Manager BHFMC Dr. Masood Nabi Wahla and other officers attended the meeting. DC said that officers of all government departments should perform their duties with dedication and with the zeal of serving the nation to control breading of dengue larva.

He said that officers and employees to ensure cleanliness, to improve drainage system and to adopt all other precautionary measures to stop breading of dengue larva. DC also directed the officers and doctors to improve their services deliveries and ensure provision of medicines and other treatment facilities in the hospitals.

While giving briefing in the meeting, CEO Dr. Rehan Azhar told that anti-dengue wards had been setup in DHQ and THQ hospitals while special teams of health department were engaged in indoor and outdoor activities whereas 200 teams had been constituted for providing corona booster dozes to the people and booster doze campaign would continue till July 3 in the district.
