KARACHI- Sindh Health Department has formed a three-member enquiry committee to probe cut off a newborn baby’s head in Tharparkar during delivery.
The three-members enquiry committee comprised on Dr Khursheed Qureshi, Additional Director General Health , Hyderabad (chairman), Dr Azra Aslam, Chief Gynecologist, Sindh Government Shah Bhittai Latifabad, Hyderabad(member) and Dr Greece , District Health Officer, Tharparkar (member/secretary).
The enquiry committee directed to probe the facts and fix the responsibility. The report should reach to the office within two day to the Director General Health Services ,Sindh, Hyderabad. The doctors at a private hospital in Tharparkar, Sindh, cut off a newborn baby’s head while it was still in the womb and left it inside the mother. The incident took place at a private hospital in Chachro tehsil, Tharparkar. The unborn baby’s head was cut off and left inside the mother. The woman was then taken to the Mithi Civil Hospital, but she was unable to be treated there.
