Alkhidmat Karachi and renowned IT education company Aptech have signed a ground-breaking agreement to impart high-tech IT skills to educated youth in Karachi.
Executive Director Alkhidmat Karachi, Rashid Qureishi and CEO Aptech, Iqbal Yousuf signed the MoU and exchanged the relevant documents.
Present at the signing were Director Community Services Alkhidmat Karachi, Qazi Syed Sadruddeen and Director Mawakhat and Skill Development Program, Yousuf Muhyiuddeen, as well as County Manager Aptech, Javed Iqbal.
Speaking on the occasion, Rashid Qureishi explained that Alkhidmat’s dream is to help thousands of youth in Karachi who have just passed their Matric and Inter examinations acquire advanced IT skills and make a respectable career for themselves.
To make this dream a reality, Alkhidmat has come up with a unique IT Scholarship and Job Enablement program called “Bano Qabil” which will be launched at a ceremony on June 6. Registration for the program, which will start on the same day and continue until June 30, can be done by visiting the website banoqabil.pk or through the program app.
The final list of registered candidates will be announced on July 1 and any revision can be done until July 3. An entry test will be held on a huge scale on July 3 itself. The Bano Qaabil program offers 4-month duration courses on Web Designing,
Web Development, Amazon and advanced computers. These courses will be provided absolutely free of cost to the selected students, and on the completion of these courses, successful students will be awarded a certificate as well as placement opportunities in IT firms.
Besides, those intending to launch their freelancing careers will be able to do so, thus benefitting themselves, their families as well as their nation. Aptech will conduct these courses while Alkhidmat will facilitate the registration of the students, their selection and
conducting tests.
This initiative is important because the economic conditions of the country are very difficult and parents are not able to afford higher education for their children who have passed Matric and Inter exams. In these difficult times, the Bano Qabil program has huge potential to employ thousands of youth and bring a positive change and progress in the economic conditions.
Aptech County Manager, Javed Iqbal lauded the Bano Qabil initiative and said that this was a noble effort by Alkhidmat. He said that the merit list of selected students would be announced after the test and successful students would be able to make a respectable rewarding career for themselves.
