Extremely hot weather persisting in most parts of the country has made the lives of people difficult, and the weathermen have predicted temperatures in some parts of the country to even shoot up to 49 degrees Celsius.

Temperature in Lahore shot up to 35 degrees Celsius early in the morning on Friday, making the people worried about more hot weather expected to follow in the afternoon.

The Met Office has said that maximum temperature is expected to go up to 44 degrees Celsius, while it will be 29 degrees Celsius on the minimum side.

Health experts have advised people to take precautionary measures so that they could protect themselves from intense heat.Humidity level in the air in the Punjab capital was recorded at 39 per cent while the breeze was blowing at the speed of 8 kilometers per hour. The air quality index (AQI) stood at 180.

The weather department has predicted that it will remain extremely hot in most parts of the country, especially in the plains of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), Punjab and Sindh, while it has predicted rain for parts of Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir.

It has also forecast that dust-raising winds will blow in central and southern Sindh, central and southern Balochistan later in the afternoon.

Meanwhile, However, gusty/dust raising winds with light rain were likely in Potohar region, central Punjab, while gusty/dust raising winds in southern and central plain districts of the country in the afternoon.
