Workers remittances cross $3b for first time ever: SBP

State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) said on Friday that with USD 3.1 billion inflows during April 2022, workers remittances crossed USD 3 billion for the first time ever.

According to a press release of the SBP issued on Friday said that in terms of growth, during April 2022, remittances increased by 11.2 percent on month on month basis and 11.9 percent on year on year basis.

SBP further said that cumulatively, at USD 26.1billion, remittances grew by 7.6 percent during ten (10) months of the Financial year 2021-22 compared to the same period of the last fiscal.—APP
