Says justice provision on top of govt agenda

Former three times Prime Minister Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif will return to Pakistan before the next election said Federal Law Minister Azam Nazeer Tarar here on Friday. He expressed these views while talking to the reporters in Lahore, he said that there was space in the law for Nawaz Sharif’s return to the country, but currently, he had some health problems.
The federal minister was of the view that early elec-tions would be held in consultation with the allies. “The election commission has also asked for six to seven months to hold general elections,” he added. “A very important meeting has taken place in Lon-don,” he stated.
Replying to a question, Azam Nazir Tarar said that the Election Commission has also asked for six to seven months to hold the general elections.
The journalist asked that a very important meeting has taken place in London. Will Nawaz Sharif return home before the next election? On which the Law Minister said that inshallah Nawaz Sharif will defi-nitely come to Pakistan before the next election.
Azam Nazir Tarar said that there is scope in the law, and now he has health problems. Azam Nazir Tarar said that with reference to the news of money laun-dering, the Prime Minister has said that these cases are false but in spite of this I will face my cases. We will be acquitted on merit, he expressed hope. The law minister said that a false report was spread yes-terday that the FIA prosecution team did not want to take action. Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif specifi-cally told me that even if the cases are false, we will face it in the courts. No pressure of any kind is being put on these cases and no pressure will be put on them.
Earlier While addressing a reception in his honour, Federal Minister for Law and Justice Azam Nazeer Tarar said that provision of justice was on top of the government agenda and all-out efforts would be made for the purpose. While addressing a reception in his honour, held by the Lahore High Court Bar Association here, he said that the LHCBA was the biggest bar of the Subcontinent and it was his home where he was brought up. He thanked the bar for inviting him, adding that he was proud to be a lawyer and promised that all efforts would be made for welfare of the legal fraternity. He said that his office was open on the lawyer community and he had re-served Thursday for meeting them.
The minister said that he talked to Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif for swift resolution of the lawyers community issues and to form a committee for the purpose.
He said that federal courts were situated at different places in the city, which was a big problem for law-yers, as they had to rush from one place to another for attending the cases. He said that a project had been finalised for solving this problem and new building would be constructed wherein all 30 federal courts would be shifted. He said that the facilities including bar rooms and library would be provided at the new premises.
