Deputy Commissioner Hafizabad Muhammad Asif Raza has said that district administration is committed to ensure implementation on policy and guidelines of the Chief Minister of the Punjab for providing maximum relief to the people while all price magistrates has been mobilized to implement price lists issued by the district price control committee Hafizabad.

While addressing a meeting of representatives of Poultry Association, Flour Mills and other traders, he directed the officers of district administration to evolve comprehensive pals to bring down prices of essential commodities and reconstitute district price control committee whereas special attention would also be given to rural areas besides urban areas.

He warned that no one would be allowed to sell daily used items on inflated rates and punitive action would be taken against hoarders and profiteers in the district.

Meanwhile a mock exercise was conducted by the Rescue 1122 and district administration at Head Sagar to review pre-flood arrangements made by the different department in case of likely flood in the River Chenab, on Tuesday.
