Juma-tul-Wida, the last Friday of holy month of Ramazan observed with tra-ditional religious zeal and reverence under tight security arrangements provincial capital.
People thronged the mosques to offer Friday prayers. On the occasion, special prayers were of-fered for peace progress and prosperity of the country. Ulema in their special sermons, highlighted the importance of the holy month of Ramazan, fasting, Itikaf and Juma-tul-Wida and urged people to help needy people so that they would be able to celebrate Eid-ul-Fitr with zeal.
A large number of followers visited mosques to offer special prayers, as the day holds key significance for Mus-lims. Prayers were also offered for the prosperity of and solidarity and unity among the Muslims. Personnel of special police forces were deployed at sensitive places including mosques and Imambargahs. The city police have also chalked out a security plan for the eve of Ramazan 27 and Eid holidays to avoid any untoward incident across the metropolis Punjab Police has al-ready completed security ar-rangements for 27th night of Ramazan, Jumma-tul-Wida and Al-Quds Day. More than 30,000 officials have provided security for 28,019 gatherings and 108 Al-Quds Day rallies.
