CM mulls over formation of Punjab cabinet
Consults former ministers about political situation
Chief Minister Punjab Sardar Usman Buzdar has strongly condemned the Karachi University blast and expressed a deep sense of sorrow and grief over the loss of precious human lives including foreign faculty members. He extended sympathies to bereaved heirs and prayed for early recovery for the injured. The more this incident of terrorism is condemned, the less it would be; he said and added that it is an attempt to destabilize the situation. However, the nation is united against the menace of terrorism and a handful of terrorists could not weaken the strong commitment of the nation, he further said.
Meanwhile, Chief Minister Punjab Sardar Usman Buzdar huddled up with former Ministers Raja Basharat, Mian Mahmood ur Rasheed, Sibtain Khan and Dr Yasmeen Rashid to discuss the political situation and important constitutional and legal issues here on Tuesday.
Talking on this occasion, the CM asserted that everything would be done in accordance with the law and constitution in the province of Punjab adding that the constitution is supreme for us. Everyone will have to play a positive role in the development and prosperity of the country; he emphasized and pointed out that they remain engrossed in public-centric politics and everything possible was done for the public welfare and development of the province.
I believe in political suavity and have always followed the constitutional and the law, he further said.
Furthermore, Caretaker Chief Minister Usman Buzdar has started consultations with legal experts over and aides for formation of a cabinet.
The legal experts have advised the caretaker Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar that no steps can be taken without approval of the cabinet, sources said.
Legal experts have advised for announcing a caretaker cabinet to run the government matters smoothly.
It is pertinent to mention here that after approval of his resignation on April 1st, Sardar Usman Buzdar is working as caretaker chief minister of Punjab.
The caretaker CM is mulling over formation of a caretaker cabinet to run administrative matters of the province, sources added.
