The bodies of the victims of the attack on the mosque in Mazar-e-Sharif in Balkh province were buried on Friday.
One of the victims was a street vendor.
Shir Ahmad, 55, was working on the streets of the city of Mazar-e-Sharif as a vendor to feed his family.
He left a family of seven behind.
“He was working as a street vendor. He went to pray and was martyred there,” said Abdul Ghafor, a relative of Shir Ahmad.
The participants at Shir Ahmad’s funeral said that they have buried four corpses who were killed in the attack in this graveyard.
“(All) of them were young people. They were aged 25 to 30 and each of them left children behind,” said Amanullah, a brother of Shir Ahmad.
Sources said that 31 people were killed and 87 others were wounded in the blast.
“I have buried 17 corpses with my own hands,” said Sayed Sadeq, a resident of Mazar-e-Sharif.
The residents of Mazar-e-Sharif said that many people who were killed were young adults aged 20 to 25.
“We have four martyrs. One of them left two children,” said Ismail, a resident of Mazar-e-Sharif.
This comes as a spokesman for the Balkh security department, Mohammad Asif Waziri, said that they have arrested the suspected planner of the attack on the mosque in Chahar Bulok district of Balkh province.—Tolonews
