No dengue case reported from Hafizabad

In compliance with the directions of the Chief Secretary Punjab, Kamran Ali Afzal, and with the hectic struggle and concerted efforts of District Administration and District Health Authority, no dengue case has been reported this year in the district Hafizabad so far.

This was stated by the Deputy Commissioner Muhammad Asif Raza while addressing the meeting of the District Anti-Dengue Committee, on Friday. CEO District Health Authority Dr. Rehan Azhar, DHO Dr. Ishfaq Meer and other officers attended the meeting.

He said that efforts of all departments would have to continue for containing breading of Dengue Larva and this connection, government entities were engaged to ensure cleanliness in its premises while it was also obligation of the people to keep their homes, shops, street and other places clean and dry. He directed the officers of different departments to ensure cleanliness of their offices, schools, collages, hospitals and perform their duties with dedication in connection.

Chief Executive Officer Health, Dr. Rehan Azhar told in the meeting that no dengue case has been reported this year in the district Hafizabad so far and special Anti-Dengue wards have been setup at DHQ Hospital Hafizabad and THQ hospital Pindi Bhattian already. He informed that 220 anti-dengue teams had been constituted for surveillance of dengue larva in the district and these teams had completed survey of 494000 houses so far in the district.
