Court seeks arguments on acquittal pleas of PM Shehbaz, Hamza

An accountability court in Lahore Wednesday heard Ramazan Sugar Mills case against Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Hamza Shehbaz and sought arguments on the acquittal petitions of both of them on next hearing on April 28.Judge Sajid Ali Awan of Accountability Court No. 5 heard the case.Hamza Shehbaz appeared before the court and got his attendance marked.

The court granted the same day exemption to Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif from appearance before the court.

Both Shehbaz Sharif and Hamza Shehbaz are nominated in the Ramazan Sugar Mills reference filed by the National Accountability Bureau (NAB).

Shehbaz Sharif as former Punjab chief minister is accused of using state funds for the construction of a nullah and a bridge for Ramazan Sugar Mills.
