Afghan Futsal team beats Nepal, fails to qualify for Asian Cup

Afghanistan’s national futsal team defeated Nepal 8-1 in the 2022 AFC Futsal Asian Cup qualifications on Tuesday in Bishkek, but Afghanistan’s team did not qualify to play in the Asian Cup.

Afghanistan’s futsal team was playing in group B with Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and Nepal, and only Tajikistan and Uzbekistan qualified to play in the final tournament.

The competition was a qualification round organized by the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) to determine the teams for the 2022 Asian Futsal Cup.

The 2022 Futsal Asian Cup is set to be held in Kuwait.—Tolonews
