The police arrested six members of a notorious bike lifter gang and recovered stolen rickshaw, motorcycles and spare parts of motorcycles here in the metropolis on Friday.
The police through CCTV footage traced and detained bike lifter Shahzeb and on information provided by him five more members of the gang were arrested during a crackdown in New Town, Karachi. The police recovered several stolen motorcycles, a rickshaw and dozens of spares parts of motorcycles from possession of the detainees.
The nabbed bike lifters used to steal motorcycles from different areas and sell them in Bingoria area. Several cases were registered against the nabbed motorcycle lifters wanted in dozens of cases and investigations were underway.
