The Punjab Minister for Health Dr Yasmeen Rashid on Thursday has said that the Government Allama Iqbal Memorial Teaching Hospital (GAIMTH) would soon be up graded and the construction of new blocks for 500 beds would started soon and completed within two years. She said that while addressing to the annual convocation at Government Khawaja Safdar Medical College (GKSMC) here.
The Health Minister Dr Yasmeen Rashid also said that the Provincial government was fully bent on ensuring the provision of top quality health facilities to the masses. She said that for the first time in the history of Punjab 40000 new doctors had been recruited through a merit based and transparent procedure and the process of the recruitment of additional 2000 doctors was under way.
