Exchange rate of Pakistan rupee weakened by 83 paisa against the United States dollar in the interbank trading on Thursday and closed at Rs183.47 against the previous day’s closing of Rs182.64.
According to the Forex Association of Pakistan (FAP), the buying and selling rates of dollar in the open market were recorded at Rs182.5 and Rs183.7 respectively. Similarly, the price of the euro was appreciated by Rs 1.56 and closed at Rs 204.74 against the previous day’s closing of Rs 203.18.
The Japanese Yen gained 01 paisa to close at Rs1.51, whereas an increase of Rs 1.36 was witnessed in the exchange rate of British Pound, which was traded at Rs241.03 as compared to its last closing of Rs239.67. The exchange rates of Emirates Dirham and Saudi Riyal increased by 23 paisas to close at Rs49.95 and Rs48.90 respectively.—APP
